What we are building

City Boy already feeds Mountain View late into the night. The room and the flat top sit quiet every morning, and that is the whole idea behind the cafe: put the same kitchen to work when the sun is up. Here is what the daytime side will bring.

• Coffee and espresso, to go or to sit with, made for a neighborhood that runs on it.
• A small pastry case, a few fresh baked things to grab with your cup.
• All day breakfast off the same flat top, built to travel or to stay a while.
• Grab and go for the morning drive, real hot food and not just a cup.
• Order ahead, so you can skip the line, skip the cold, and just grab it.
• Daytime catering, boxed breakfasts and platters for offices, meetings, and crews.
• A warm, bright room for the dark part of the Alaska year, and a spot to sit and work.

By day and by night

Mornings into the afternoon, this is City Boy Cafe. Come 5 PM the same kitchen turns back into City Boy Burgers, the late night smash burger spot Mountain View already knows. One address, two ways to eat, all from the same crew.

Priced for the neighborhood

Mountain View is the most diverse neighborhood in the country and one of the hardest working. The cafe is built for it: good coffee and a real breakfast at a price that makes sense here, not tourist-strip prices. We want the morning menu to taste like the neighborhood too, so expect a few things that nod to the folks who actually live here.

Summer and winter, two rooms

Anchorage summers are wild. The sun barely sets, the whole town gets moving, and visitors pour through by the busload. The plan is a patio and a quick grab and go window for the long bright days and the summer crowd passing by. When the dark comes back, the same room turns into a warm, well lit spot to thaw out over a good cup. Two seasons, two moods, same corner of Mountain View.

Morning catering, too

Boxed breakfasts and coffee for meetings and early crews are part of the plan. Until the cafe opens, our catering can already feed your crew tonight, and daytime orders will join it when we open.

Where

3024 Mountain View Dr, Ste 108, Anchorage, AK 99508, right on the Mountain View Dr corridor. Easy to reach from downtown, the base gate, and the rest of East Anchorage. If you are close by, we are your neighborhood spot at night too.

Hours

Daytime hours are being set right now and will be posted here before we open. The plan is mornings through the early afternoon, so the cafe hands off to the burger window in the evening.
